Is it just me, or are the new “ultralight” gazebo tents basically a slightly sturdier trash bag with pretensions? I picked up the latest model, unrolled it, and instantly achieved maximum intimacy with nature (read: every breeze, bug, and drop of dew found its way inside).
Does anyone actually use these gazebo setups for more than a backyard Instagram shoot, or have I just paid $200 for a sunblocker that blows away faster than my motivation to summit a hill before noon? Please, someone, share your “pro tips” for stabilizing these feathery palaces that seem to aspire to flight. Or should I just duct tape it to a tree and embrace the chaos?
