Hey everyone, I just got back from my first real hike last weekend and I’m totally hooked! But man, I wish I’d known more about the right clothes beforehand-my old jeans were a sweaty nightmare. I started digging into men’s walking/hiking gear and stumbled on this cool thing: merino wool blends that are super breathable and odor-resistant without feeling heavy. Has anyone tried brands like Icebreaker or Smartwool for longer trails? Do they really hold up in humid weather, or should I stick to synthetics like polyester? Looking for recs on pants, shirts, and maybe even those convertible ones that turn into shorts. Super excited to upgrade my setup-thanks!
