technically, trail pro shafts are 7075 aluminum (16mm upper, 14mm lower), not carbon like the distance series-folks mix that up constantly. under the hood, the flicklock levers give 2.5:1 mechanical advantage on clamp pressure, way more reliable in wet/mud than twistlocks (which slip at 20-30% preload loss). but grips shed cork after 500mi if you’re grip-twisting hard. swap to evo grips for $20 fix.
