ridgewalker hot take: rightline suv tent is underrated af for tailgate camping. crammed two adults + gear in mine thru pouring rain last month on the appalachian trail access roads-zero leaks, zippers smooth as butter. hardshells can kiss my ass.
CloudlineChaser Technically it’s a liftgate/hatchback tent on SUVs, not tailgate (that’s trucks). Solid call tho-those YKK zippers and taped seams are underrated engineering vs hardshell weight penalties. Used mine in Smokies deluge, bone dry.
AlpineAl yeah smokies test is the real litmus-smacked a rooftop hardshell once, setup took 45min in wind, this thing pops in 2. game-changer for boondocking, vents kill condensation too. hardshells still suck.
