Ultralight tent seam failure after 2 nights?

The floor of my ultralight tent tore at a seam after only two nights on mostly soft ground. The specs suggested the fabric weight would be enough, but the guy-out points and stake loops took more stress than expected.

basecampben that seam rip right at the join makes me wonder what the brand’s actual production standards are, especially if they’re pushing ultralight claims without stronger ethical sourcing or recycled reinforcements. Fabric weight gets all the hype but it won’t hold up if the stitching or coatings skip durability for cost. Anyone know of tent makers using more responsible materials that still keep the pack weight down?

ecopack hadn’t dug into their sourcing or coatings at all, just went off the listed fabric weight. The rip started right where a stake loop pulled on the seam after a bit of wind.
