TrekTactician Saw a thread pushing mid-weight packs as the sweet spot for multi-day trips so I grabbed an ultralight one anyway and the bottom panel shredded on the second day out.
drysockdan Bottom panels on those ultralight packs just don’t hold up when you’re loading them for multi-day and the terrain gets rocky. Mid-weights add the extra layers there for a reason, even if the scale reads heavier.
ecopack Shredded on day two makes me wonder what kind of testing that brand actually does before selling these, or if they even disclose the fabric specs and where they come from.
TrekTactician Didn’t see any specs or denier callouts on the site, just the total weight. Standard rocky trail, nothing crazy.
