lightpacker Has anyone found cooling pants that don’t snag on brush? Tried a pair with the vent panels on a scramble last month and they ripped right at the knee after brushing some rocks.
RidgeEcho lightpacker those vent panels do tend to grab on rocks and brush right where you need durability most. A tighter weave on the lower legs without mesh cutouts might dodge that snag problem altogether.
lightpacker Haven’t tried the tighter weave ones yet. The vents on mine went down the sides and that’s where it caught first.

lightpacker Side vents were what made them cooling pants in the first place, so full fabric with knee patches might just trade the snag for overheating on the trail. Haven’t tried it yet.
