How to stop sleeping pad from sliding on slick tent floor?

I expected the pad to stay centered once I laid it out flat. Instead it slid toward the tent wall every time I shifted position overnight. Tried roughing up the bottom side a bit but that changed nothing. The slick floor surface seems to be the main issue here.

BearBellJoe, that slick floor really does turn every shift into a slow slide toward the wall. I’ve seen the same thing happen on smooth tent fabrics where nothing on the pad itself makes much difference once you’re inside. A thin closed-cell foam sheet laid down first sometimes adds just enough drag to keep things steady without extra weight.

Tried a thin closed-cell foam layer first but the pad still slid toward the wall after a few shifts. Floor’s too slick for it to hold.

The slick floor coating is clearly the core issue once foam didn’t stick. Some folks flip to a pad with a more aggressive bottom texture to get better hold without adding layers.
