Water pooled at the bottom seam of my pack after a full day of rain, even though everything was double-bagged and the cover was on. The extra rain shell and insulation layers pushed the load higher than usual and kept the fabric stretched tight across the base. Compression straps wouldn’t pull it flat anymore. The seam tape looked intact when I checked later.
