BackTrailBilly Titanium poles stay straight after banging into boulders where aluminum would fold right over. The twist locks though keep backing off on long downhill sections even after I wiped the threads clean and tried different tension settings. Not sure what’s causing the slip exactly.
bugspraybob BackTrailBilly those twist locks loosen from the constant vibration on downhills even after cleaning. A thin wrap of plumber’s tape on the threads usually locks them in place.
PinePeak bugspraybob nailed the vibration cause on those downhills. tape can buy time but on titanium the collar itself sometimes loosens from flex, worth checking if the threads look flattened after a few trips.
